Facial Cosmetic Surgery : Lip Enhancement
Lip Enhancement
The revolutionary, PermaLip implant is the answer to safe,
permanent (but reversible lip enhancement.
The problem
- Temporary solutions for lip enhancement typically involve the use
of commercially produced fillers or autologous fat, which can be unpredictable
with respect to how long they last, and require repetitive treatments
that are painful, inconvenient, and costly to the patient.
Permanent solutions have relied on implants that have not mimicked the
natural contours of the lip and may, due to their surface characteristics,
promote tissue ingrowth resulting in a restriction of lip movement and
an unnatural smile.
The solution
- The definitive solution for permanent lip enhancement has finally
arrived. PermaLip has undergone extensive clinical testing. PermaLip
is made of a soft, solid silicone elastomer using an injection molding
process to produce a naturally contoured implant with a smooth, non-porous
surface. This surface minimizes the chance of tissue adherence or ingrowth
from the surrounding lip tissue.
PermaLip cannot deflate or rupture, and although permanent, can be easily
removed should a patient desire to have it removed or re-sized.
